Free public transport and parking on November 18 in Riga
“Rīgas satiksme” informs that on the National holiday, November 18, Riga residents and guests will be able to use public transport (trams, trolleybuses, buses and minibuses) free of charge. Parking lots managed by “Rīgas satiksme” and located along streets will be also available free of charge. For passengers to be able to reach places where festive events will be held and return home more comfortably, additional public transport runs will be organized on November 18 from 17:00 until 24:00.
On the National holiday, November, 18, public transport will run according to holiday schedules. For passengers to be able to reach places where festive events will be held and return home more comfortably, from 17:00 until 24:00 additional runs will be organized on the following tram, trolleybus and bus routes:
- tram routes No. 1, 5, 7, 10 and 11;
- trolleybus routes No. 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22 and 27;
- bus routes No. 2, 3, 11, 12, 12/23/26 (combined route going along Akmens Bridge), 18, 24, 25, 37, 40, 41, 50, 51, 52 and 53.
Please take into account that during the military parade of the National Armed Forces units and the torch march public transport traffic may be closed for a while and public transport delays are likely on the routes going along Akmens Bridge, Aspazijas Boulevard, Brīvības Boulevard, Brīvības Street, Bruņinieku Street, Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and Raiņa Boulevard.
“Rīgas satiksme” reminds that on November 18 Riga residents and guests will be able to use public transport (buses, trams, trolleybuses, white-and-blue minibuses) free of charge.
The pay parking lots managed by “Rīgas satiksme” will be for free on November 18, except for the underground parking lot at Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5a, where parking will be charged for according to the existing tariffs.
On November 15, the customer service centre at Brīvības Street 49/53 will be open from 8:00 until 17:00, other customer service centres will work on November 15 as usually on working days – until 19:00. On November 18, the customer service centres will be closed.
